Channel Nine, The first 24hr Full Entertainment Channel of Bangladesh. Channel 9 is a satellite TV channel of Bangladesh. It began its test transmission on 8 April 2011.
Channel Nine has no connection with "Australian Channel 9". Channel Nine is the first 24 hour full entertainment channel of Bangladesh. Sports is also a part of entertainment. Chairman : Syeda Mahbuba Akhter (wife of retired Major General Syed Shafayetul Islam, son of former acting president of wartime provisional government Syed Nazrul Islam. and younger brother of LGRD minister and Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam.
Managing Director : Enayetur Rahman Bappy is the Managing Director of Channel 9. He resigned from Ntv and bought into the company.
